The MoodTag Lifetime Engraving Guarantee
At MoodTag, we don’t just promise durability—we engineer it. Because we use industrial-grade fibre optic lasers to physically deep-etch your dog’s details 50 to 100 microns into the core of the metal, we know our engraving will never just “rub off.”
Our own Huskies have worn these exact tags through years of Australian surf, mud, and scrub, and the text remains perfectly clear. That is the standard we aim to deliver, and it is why every tag that leaves our studio is backed by our Lifetime Engraving Guarantee.
If the engraved text on your MoodTag ever becomes unreadable under normal daily use, we will replace the tag—no questions asked.
What This Guarantee Covers
- Engraving Readability: If the deep-etched text fades or wears down to the point that it can no longer be read in normal lighting, you are completely covered.
- Like-for-Like Replacement: We will engrave and send a replacement tag of the exact same shape, size, and finish (subject to current stock availability).
What Is Not Covered
While our engraving is permanent, no physical metal is entirely immune to the extreme wear and tear of an active dog’s lifestyle. This guarantee strictly covers the engraving itself, and does not cover:
- Lost Tags: This includes tags that fall off due to split-ring stretching, collar breakage, or hardware failure.
- Normal Cosmetic Wear: General surface scratches, scuffs, enamel wear, or dents to the metal finish that do not affect the actual legibility of the engraved text.
- Severe Physical Damage: Damage caused by heavy dog chewing, grinding, drilling, or exposure to harsh industrial chemicals.
- Customer Typos: Incorrect names, spelling mistakes, or wrong phone numbers entered at checkout. (Please always double-check your details before submitting an order!)
How to Claim Your Replacement
We make this process as frictionless as possible. You do not need to mail the old tag back to us.
- Snap a Photo: Take a clear photo of your tag showing the readability issue.
- Find Your Order Details: Locate your original MoodTag order number, receipt email, or invoice.
- Email Us: Send the photo and your order number to admin@moodtag.com.au or reach out via our Contact Support page.
Once we verify the details, our engraving bench will prep and dispatch your replacement tag!
