Could a stronger attachment become a snag hazard?
It’s a fair thing to think about. A Never-Fall setup is built to stay attached through normal movement — pulling, play, scratching, swimming. It isn’t designed to defeat a genuine snag, and no collar hardware should be. For unsupervised rough play we recommend the same thing every vet does: check the collar and remove it if there’s any entanglement risk. Stronger ID, used sensibly.
Will it fit my dog’s collar?
The setup attaches to a standard collar D-ring in a few seconds — the metal loop your current tag hangs from. If your collar has a D-ring, it fits. For collars that don’t open, or martingales without a fixed ring, check the product page measurements or message us before ordering and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’ll work.
Is it too heavy or bulky for a small dog?
No — small dogs need reliable ID just as much, and the Lite setup suits them well. Every product page lists exact dimensions and weight so you can see precisely what’s going on your dog’s collar before you buy, rather than guessing from a photo. For a smaller dog we’d point you to Lite and a compact shape.
Does it work alongside my council registration tag?

My dog’s already microchipped. Do I still need a tag?
A microchip is essential — keep it registered and current. But it isn’t a tracker, and a neighbour who finds your dog can’t read it. They’d need to get your dog to a vet or shelter with a scanner first. A visible phone number means almost anyone can call you straight away. We see them as a pair: the tag for immediate contact, the chip as permanent backup.
Is there any app, subscription or account?
