Yes! Every custom MoodTag automatically includes a premium split ring. This hardware collection is designed for customers who want to upgrade to our easy-change Spring Ring, or those who simply need a spare or replacement heavy-duty ring for an older tag.
Which ring is best if I change my dog’s collar often?
We highly recommend the 24mm Spring Ring! It functions like a secure, miniature carabiner clip. Instead of struggling to pry open a traditional split ring, you can simply press the spring mechanism to unclip the tag and instantly move it to a different collar or harness.
Are the heavy-duty rings hard to open?
Yes, and that is by design! Our 26mm and 30mm Heavy-Duty Rings are engineered with high tensile strength to ensure they never accidentally stretch or pull apart when your dog is running through the bush or wrestling at the park.
What size heavy-duty ring do I need?
The 26mm ring is an excellent, secure standard size for most small to medium dog collars. If you have a large breed dog with a very thick collar and a heavy-gauge D-ring, we recommend sizing up to the 30mm ring to ensure it fits comfortably around the collar hardware.
Will these rings rust if my dog swims?
