These Terms & Conditions apply when you use moodtag.com.au, place an order, personalise an engraved pet ID tag, or purchase any MoodTag product or setup.

MoodTag sells premium personalised engraved pet ID tags and problem-solving ID setups. Because many MoodTag products are customised using the engraving details you provide, it is important that you check all names, phone numbers, spelling, layout and product selections before placing your order.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Premium Engraved Pet ID Tags And Stronger ID Setups

MoodTag (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian eCommerce brand selling premium personalised engraved dog ID tags, cat ID tags, and related pet ID setups.

MoodTag’s current product structure is built around practical pet ID needs:

Classic Engraved Tags For premium everyday readability.
Silent Tags For quieter everyday wear and reduced jingling.
Never-Fall Tags For active dogs that lose, snap, bend or break ordinary tags and rings.
Cat ID Tags For cats and small pets needing readable visible ID.

MoodTag is not a generic tag shop. Our products are designed around readable engraving, practical setup selection, and pet ID systems that match real pet behaviour.

2. Acceptance Of These Terms

When These Terms Apply

These Terms apply when you:

  • Visit or use moodtag.com.au
  • Browse MoodTag products or product categories
  • Create, customise or preview an engraved pet ID tag
  • Place an order through our website
  • Contact us about an order, product, return, refund, guarantee or support request
  • Interact with any website content, product information or checkout feature

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use our website or place an order.

3. Orders And Product Availability

Placing An Order With MoodTag

When you place an order, you agree that all details provided are true, accurate and complete. This includes your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing details, product selection and engraving information.

An order is not accepted until payment has been received and the order has been confirmed by our system. We may refuse, cancel or refund an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • There is a pricing, product listing or checkout error
  • The order contains prohibited engraving content
  • The engraving request cannot reasonably be produced
  • We suspect fraud, misuse, abuse or unauthorised payment activity
  • The delivery address appears incomplete, invalid or inconsistent

Product availability, pricing, colours, shapes, hardware, included accessories and offers may change from time to time.

4. Personalisation And Engraving Accuracy

You Are Responsible For The Details You Submit

Most MoodTag products are personalised and made to order. You are responsible for entering correct engraving details before submitting your order.

Check Before Ordering

  • Dog name or cat name
  • Front quote or front engraving text
  • Owner name
  • Phone number
  • Spelling, capitalisation and punctuation
  • Product shape, colour, size and setup

MoodTag Character Limits

  • Dog name: maximum 12 characters
  • Front quote: maximum 25 characters
  • Owner name: maximum 12 characters
  • Phone number: maximum 15 characters

If you enter the wrong phone number, wrong name, incorrect spelling or incorrect details, MoodTag is not responsible for replacing or refunding the product unless required by law.

We may make small spacing, sizing, alignment or line-break adjustments to help the engraving fit the physical tag and remain readable. We will not intentionally change the meaning of your submitted text.

5. Live Preview

The Live Preview Is A Visual Guide

MoodTag may display a live preview or product preview on eligible product pages. The live preview is designed to help you check the general layout, front engraving, back engraving, tag shape and readability before ordering.

The live preview is a practical visual guide, not a guaranteed manufacturing proof. Final engraving may vary slightly due to:

  • Screen size, brightness, colour and display differences
  • Tag shape, size and physical engraving area
  • Production tolerances and engraving settings
  • Line breaks, scaling, spacing and layout adjustments needed for readability

You remain responsible for checking that the submitted engraving text is correct before placing your order.

6. Prohibited Engraving Content

Content We May Refuse

You must not submit engraving text that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, abusive, misleading, invasive of another person’s privacy, or otherwise inappropriate.

We may refuse, cancel or refund an order containing prohibited content. If production has not started, we may refund the order. If production has already started, we will assess the situation reasonably and in line with applicable law.

7. Pricing, Payment And Promotions

Prices Are Listed In AUD

All prices on moodtag.com.au are listed in Australian dollars and are GST inclusive unless stated otherwise.

Payment must be received in full before production begins. We may use third-party payment providers to process payments securely.

Promotional offers, discounts, shipping offers, free items, upgrade offers and limited-time deals apply only as stated on the website at the time of purchase. Offers may be changed, paused or removed without notice, subject to applicable law.

If a discount code, promotion or checkout rule is used incorrectly, abused, or applied due to a technical error, we may cancel or adjust the order where reasonably necessary.

8. Cancellations And Changes

Personalised Orders Can Move Into Production Quickly

Because many MoodTag products are personalised and made to order, cancellations or changes may not be possible once production has started.

If you need to request a change, contact us immediately at admin@moodtag.com.au. We will try to help where possible, but we cannot guarantee changes after an order has entered production.

If a change is possible, it may delay production or dispatch. If the requested change requires a different product, setup, size, colour, hardware option or shipping method, additional charges may apply.

9. Never-Fall Products And Hardware

Stronger Setup, Practical Expectations

Never-Fall Tags are designed for active dogs that put ordinary tag hardware to the test. They are built around a stronger attachment setup, but no dog tag, collar, ring or accessory can be guaranteed to be impossible to lose or damage in every possible situation.

Never-Fall Lite

Includes a MoodTag Never-Fall Ring pull-force tested up to 48kg.

Never-Fall MAX

Includes a MoodTag Never-Fall Ring pull-force tested up to 100kg.

The 48kg and 100kg ratings refer to pull-force testing on the MoodTag Never-Fall Ring. They do not refer to your dog’s body weight.

The 26mm Heavy-Duty Attachment Ring is a replaceable wear-and-check component. You are responsible for regularly checking your dog’s collar, D ring, tag hardware and attachment rings for wear, bending, opening, damage or weakness.

Never-Fall products are not a substitute for responsible collar maintenance, safe supervision, correct attachment, or regular hardware inspection.

10. Silent Tags

Quieter Wear, Not Absolute Silence

Silent Tags are designed to reduce everyday jingling, clinking and collar noise. They are not guaranteed to remove every possible sound in every possible situation.

Noise may still occur depending on the collar, other accessories, movement, fit, hardware, environment and how the tag is worn.

11. Shipping And Delivery

Shipping Is Covered By Our Shipping Policy

Shipping options, fees, dispatch timelines and delivery estimates are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Free Standard Shipping

Free Standard Letter Shipping is available but does not include tracking, insurance or replacement cover. Once your order has been dispatched with Free Standard Shipping, MoodTag cannot track, insure, remake or replace items lost because of Australia Post delivery failure unless Shipping Protection was purchased, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Parcel Post

Tracked Parcel Post is available, and Parcel Post is free for eligible orders over $100.

Express Post

Express Post is available for customers who want the fastest available shipping option.

Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by Australia Post, carrier delays, public holidays, weather events, incorrect addresses, peak periods or circumstances outside our control.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is delayed, lost, returned or misdelivered because the address you provided was incorrect or incomplete, additional shipping or replacement costs may apply.

12. Returns, Refunds And Australian Consumer Law

Your Rights And Our Returns Process

Our approach to returns and refunds is set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Because most MoodTag products are personalised and made to order, change-of-mind returns may not be accepted for customised products unless required by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

If there is a genuine issue with your product, please contact us with your order details and clear photos so we can assess the issue and help resolve it fairly.

13. MoodTag Guarantees

Our Commercial Guarantees Are In Addition To Your Legal Rights

MoodTag may offer commercial guarantees or promises, including the 30-Day Peace of Mind Guarantee, Lifetime Engraving Readability Promise and Lifetime Never-Fall System Guarantee for eligible products.

These guarantees are subject to their stated terms, exclusions, proof requirements and product eligibility. They are provided in addition to, and do not limit, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

30-Day Peace Of Mind

For eligible quality, finish, engraving or setup concerns within the stated period.

Lifetime Engraving Readability

If engraved details become unreadable through normal wear, subject to the guarantee terms.

Lifetime Never-Fall System

For approved Never-Fall Ring failure claims on eligible Never-Fall products.

14. Product Care And Customer Responsibilities

Check Your Pet’s ID Setup Regularly

You are responsible for using MoodTag products safely and appropriately. This includes:

  • Checking engraving details before ordering
  • Attaching the tag correctly to your pet’s collar or approved setup
  • Regularly inspecting collars, D rings, attachment rings and hardware
  • Replacing worn, bent, opened, damaged or weakened hardware
  • Keeping the tag clean enough for the engraving to remain readable
  • Removing or replacing products that become unsafe, damaged or unsuitable

MoodTag products are pet ID products. They are not toys and should not be chewed, swallowed, modified, used as restraint equipment or used for any purpose other than pet identification.

15. Website Use

Do Not Misuse Our Website

You agree not to misuse moodtag.com.au. This includes attempting to interfere with website security, scrape content, overload the site, access restricted systems, upload malicious code, use the site for unlawful purposes, or interfere with other customers’ use of the website.

We may restrict, suspend or block access to the website where we reasonably believe there is misuse, fraud, abuse or security risk.

16. Intellectual Property

MoodTag Content Belongs To MoodTag

All website content, branding, product photos, videos, product names, page layouts, designs, copy, logos, icons, graphics and other materials on moodtag.com.au are owned by MoodTag or licensed to us.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, scrape, republish, sell, imitate or use our intellectual property without written permission.

17. Limitation Of Liability

Limits That Apply To The Extent Permitted By Law

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoodTag is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of our website, products, shipping services, third-party providers or personalised order details submitted by you.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
