What the preview shows
- Tag shape + colour you selected (e.g., round, bone, heart, military)
- Front engraving: dog name + optional quote
- Back engraving: owner name + phone number
- A simple toggle to switch between Front and Back
The goal is clarity — so you can confidently check the details before checkout.
How it works
- Select a shape and finish
- Enter your engraving details (or use the AI Personaliser for quote ideas)
- The preview updates instantly as you type
- Toggle to view Front and Back
- Double-check spelling and phone number, then add to cart
Engraving limits (for readability)
To keep engraving clean and readable, we enforce character limits:
- Dog name: max 12 characters
- Front quote: max 25 characters
- Owner name: max 12 characters
- Phone number: max 15 characters
If you try to exceed the limits, the fields are designed to keep the text within the allowed space.
Important notes
- Preview for illustration: engraving size/spacing may vary slightly.
- Colour variation: finishes may look slightly different due to lighting and screen settings.
- Always double-check: buyers are responsible for ensuring entered engraving details are correct.

Does the preview show the exact final engraving?
The preview is designed to be accurate for layout and placement, but minor variations in engraving size/spacing can occur.
Can I change shape or colour and keep my engraving text?
Yes. The preview updates when you change variations so you can see the same engraving on different styles.
