Choose MAX if your dog pulls hard, plays rough, escapes or has already lost tags. It has our strongest Never-Fall Ring, for large dogs, rescues and outdoor dogs. Choose by behaviour, not weight: a calm big dog can wear Never-Fall Lite and a small escape artist may need MAX.

It is the tested strength of the MAX Never-Fall Ring itself, not a recommended dog weight. Our manufacturer tests the rings on a pull-force testing machine before they are shipped to us. It is the strongest ring we make, more than double the Lite ring's 48kg.

Yes. Every Never-Fall tag arrives assembled: tag, Never-Fall Ring and 26mm heavy-duty attachment ring. Open the 26mm ring onto your dog's collar D-ring and you are done. No pliers, no cable ties. The setup runs Tag → Never-Fall Ring → 26mm heavy-duty attachment ring → collar D-ring.

It fits any collar or harness with a D-ring. For a thick leather, padded or tactical collar, add a 30mm heavy-duty ring. Your council registration tag can go on the same D-ring. If your collar has no D-ring or is a martingale, message us before you order.

No. No tag setup can promise that in every situation. Never-Fall replaces the thin split ring, the part that usually bends or works open, with a pull-force tested ring. No. Choose Lite and a compact shape: the Classic Star weighs 6g, the Signature Bone and Luna Heart 8g. Every product page lists the tag's size and weight. For the very smallest dogs, under about 4kg, the flat Silent Slide-On in size S may sit better than a hanging tag.

It is made not to. Our fibre laser cuts the details into the metal, about 0.05 to 0.10mm deep, so they show as light silver you can feel, not ink on the surface. If normal wear ever makes them unreadable, we replace the tag. More about deep laser engraving, and ideas on what to put on a dog tag.

The tag is stainless steel and waterproof, so baths, rain and swims are fine. Most tags are mirror-polished. Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Navy are a coloured finish over the stainless steel; the edges can wear a little with rough play, while the steel and the engraving underneath stay. Yes. A microchip can only be read with a scanner, so a finder has to take your dog to a vet, pound or shelter first, as The Lost Dogs' Home explains. A tag lets them call you straight away. In NSW, a collar tag with owner contact details is required for dogs in public places; check your own council's rules.
